REVIEW
I was pleased how my film came out,, i could not get the beginning that i wanted (as i wanted the beginning to have christchurch falling apart in the city). but insead i put the interview first and after that it was photo's of the damaged places in Christchurch with the song City of Cities by Opshop.
and i am happy that it worked out and i love the movie but wish i could of been a little longer with the time so i canhave more stuff about Christchurch in. but i made it work so am happy about it and hope the movie is good and hope you like it as much as i like it.

Production Peer Assessment
STRENGTHS
The emotions that you wish to evoke will make a really good impact on the audience, linking the film with the music will make it quite emotional for the viewer and they will walk away realising the harsh reality of the quake.
The use of the woman being interviewed will be a different perspective that people haven't seen too much. we will be shown her amazing story which will have a strong impact on the viewer.
WEAKNESSES
It could be quite generic, and some of the pictures we may have seen before. Try get some unique footage that is new to the viewer.
Try make the soundtrack flow, or else it might sound quite messy.
QUESTIONS
How are you going to record the audio to ensure it is easy to understand, particularly during the interview?
Where will you film the news bulletin and how will it flow through to the rest of the movie?

TREATMENT
this movie is going to start with some news bullion of when the earthquake hit in the city center and when everyone is freaking out and running away from the buildings and when this is playing Chene is going to keep the sounds when everything was falling to the ground, alarms going off, people screaming for help and all those sounds so you will know the sounds, after that piece and Chene is going to go to all the damaged areas Chene is aloud in and show some shouts of the houses being split in half, some sinking in the ground, and some or most of the houses still have slit because there is no use cleaning it if there is another big one and the slit comes up again, while Chene is playing the movie she is going to play one of the songs down there

3. Horror movies: Task three -Dicuss
The convention of the movie Psycho was effective because it scared me, the convention of the movie Scream is the same as Psycho.
Psycho was a low-budget film but i recon most low-budget film make the best movies and they have this edge of scaring you more. Scream had become the highest-grossing slasher in the US in unadjusted dollars by earning itself $173 million worldwide.
How does the director's use of the convention reflect current events of the time?
This convention hadn't changed that much from Psycho being one of the first horror movies with the knife as a weapon to Halloween using that as a weapon and Scream the knife hadn't change and those were the three movies we talked and discussed very close about.
It kind of scared you a little maybe you shouldn't sleep before marriage and steal money then go stay in a motel in the middle of nowhere or have sex, talk about having sex, drink or do drugs or you will die! so that kind of scared the young teenagers and made them look and decide not to do what they are doing or be more careful

2. Horror movies: Task two - Explain
Most of the horror movies were made after the movie “Psycho”as some scene were really similar to "Scream" as they used the knife, falling down the stairs, revealing the killer at the end, and a lot more other little details that you see are in these two movies.
This convention was used by the killer to kill the victims and it is really not a nice why to get liked because it HURTS. It just puts the movie together because a knife just scares you as a person. The idea we as a Media Studies class got that it is a phallic meaning and the idea behind the knife's meaning is funny but kind of true if you think of it. It doesn't really reveal a big attitude to the director just that he knows how to make you SCARED. "Weinstein explained that although he agreed with their assessment that the film was "intense", the film also had comedic elements and satire; it was not just a horror film glorifying violence. The MPAA reviewed their decision; shortly thereafter the film was granted an R rating." The audience loved this movie because it gives you a real scary and the way the CONVENTION was used good as the weapon that killed all the victims, and the film makers think it was to the audience's expectations as the made other movies after that Scream 1, 2, 3 and 4 and they made some remake's of Psycho too.
These two horror movies PSYCHO and SCREAM was and still is a classical horror!
